Imperium

Imperium is a statement on what's happening in societies around the world, the discussion of the female body. It baffles me that it is still up to discussion how a woman should look like, act like, what we should do for men, what men can do with our bodies and our uteri. It often feels like we are seen as a piece of meat and the men get to have control of it, as if women are not seen as human. I have painted a perfect female body, held together by a wooden construction that is controlled by men to show what it feels like to hear these discussions on the news, social media, laws, religion, and many more places of communication.
